Fraud in Albania: the inventor of the mechanism responsible for the recent financial deception that damaged millions of Albanians was called Charles Ponzi not Tomponzi as the "Corriere della Sera" newspaper incorrectly stated. "On the 'Corriere della Sera' newspaper this morning, I was shocked to see my father's name affiliated to a story that has nothing to do with my family", strongly affirms Miriam Tomponzi, president of the Tomponzi Investigations agency and daughter of the great Tomponzi, the most famous Italian investigator. "The person that invented the stratagem of the recent fraudulent deception in Albania that damaged millions of people that had savings was called (we are talking about, at least, half a century ago) Charles Ponzi. It was not Tom as was incorrectly stated this morning on page 7, on the daily column of Via Solferino". "The story &endash; the Roman investigator continues &endash; is a story we had already reconstructed some years back to eliminate all doubts and avoid similar imprecision". In fact Charles Ponzi, the criminal responsible for the astute deception, is not even related to Tomponzi. His fraudulent activities were analyzed by the Roman investigation company seeing that they often conduct investigations on financial fraud. They discovered Mr. Charles Ponzi's criminal idea is a plot often used by many of today's swindlers.
