Fifty years have passed since when, way back in 1948, the great Tomponzi founded 'Tomponzi Investigations' in Milan.

Many things have changed since then. Private investigation, which at the time was just taking its first steps, has nowadays become a vanguard sector, capable of finding its own space &endash; albeit amid a thousand and one difficulties &endash; in the national socioeconomic tissue. The needs of the clientele have changed and investigators themselves are losing their halo of risk and adventure in favour of the so-called professionalism that, rightly or wrongly, is nowadays so highly praised.
There are however a number of aspects of the past that have not changed, at least not for us. The seriousness, obstinacy, audacity, wisdom and great passion that inspired Tomponzi in his work are an acquired heritage for all those who live and work at Tomponzi Investigations. For this reason our fiftieth anniversary is not and will never be dimmed by fruitless and sterile sentimentalism, but will rather be seen as an important passage where past, present and future blend in the moral continuity of a truly solid investigative traditions.
